What Is the Vibe Grading System?
The Vibe Grading System is our proprietary classification method that assigns every product a Vibe based on its terpene-driven effects. It replaces generic indica/sativa labels with something that actually tells you how the gummy, chocolate, or drink will make you feel.
Most shops sort edibles by brand name or by a strain type printed on the package: indica, sativa, hybrid. Those labels barely scratch the surface. Two gummies made from the same input can feel completely different depending on their terpene makeup and their dose. The Vibe Grading System cuts through that noise.
Every product we carry goes through the same evaluation process: COA analysis for cannabinoid and terpene content, followed by a tasting and onset assessment from our team. The result is a Vibe: what it feels like and when to reach for it. No guesswork, no marketing fluff, just a transparent framework you can trust.

How Does HiFi Assign a Vibe?
Vibe assignment starts with the COA. We analyze each product's full terpene profile to identify the dominant compounds, then validate with a hands-on tasting across the full onset window. The terpene fingerprint determines the Vibe, not the strain name on the wrapper, not the maker's marketing.

Certificate of AnalysisEvery batch we consider comes with a third-party lab report breaking down cannabinoid milligrams and individual terpene concentrations. We map the dominant terpenes against our Vibe profiles to establish a preliminary classification.

Tasting and onsetOur team assesses aroma on opening, flavor on the palate, and subjective effect character over the full window: 15 to 45 minutes for a drink, 45 to 90 for a gummy or chocolate. If the experience aligns with the COA prediction, the Vibe is confirmed.

Resolve any mismatchIf the terpene profile reads Energizing but the session skews Balancing, we dig deeper before assigning: a second tasting, a second batch, a closer look at the minor terpenes.

What Does Every HiFi Product Have to Pass?
A Vibe tells you how a product feels. Before anything earns one, it has to clear the same bar on sourcing, dose accuracy, potency, and execution. Every batch gets the same four checks, independent of its Vibe.
We evaluate four factors:

PotencyStated as mg of THC per serving, verified against the COA. Higher is not always better, but it establishes a baseline, and the label has to match the lab.

Sourcing and extraction qualityWhere the input material comes from and how the cannabinoids are extracted. We favor live rosin and clean full-spectrum extracts, and any distillate we carry has to show clean results across the full panel.

Dose clarity and consistencyAccurate mg per serving, even distribution across the batch, and clear labeling. We reject batches whose COA drifts from the label.

Flavor and format executionTaste, texture, carbonation, melt, and how well the format is made, whether a gummy, a chocolate, or a drink. This is the first-bite factor: what you notice when you open the package.

Are hemp-derived THC edibles legal in Texas?
Hemp-derived products containing less than 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight are legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. Texas changed its hemp law in 2026 and smokable hemp is no longer sold here; edibles, gummies, and drinks remain legal for adults 21 and over.
